Mr. Quentin "Q" McClaran passed away September 22, 2006 at 3:30 pm at the Marshall County Hospital, Benton, Kentucky

Member of First Christian (Disciples of Christ) of Benton faithfully served as elder, and for over 25 years as an adult Sunday school teacher and choir member. "Q" was a worker and board member of the Marshall County Caring Needline.

"Quentin from Benton" moved to Benton in the early 1970's as the supervisor of the Benton Hospital Lab. He retired from Infolab Inc. of Clarksdale Ms. where he was a salesman for 25 years.

He was the son of the late Robert McClaran and the late Lottie McClaran and Step Mother Cecelia McClaran.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda (Bolton) McClaran;

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 492, Benton, Ky., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2006. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM Monday, September 25, 2006, Rev. Kevin McHarg officiating. Interment will be at Haltom Cemetery in Benton, Ky. The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Marshall Co. Caring Needline P.O Box 36 Benton, Ky. 42025 or to the First Christian Church, 2515 S. Main St. Benton, Ky. 42025.
