Funeral for William Bethel Nelson, 89, of Moulton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev Roger Jacobs officiating.
Burial was to be in Bald Knob Cemetery.

Mr Nelson died Thursday at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born Feb 14, 1906, in Morgan County. He was a farmer and a member of Bellview Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, James W Nelson, Jack Nelson and Thomas E Nelson, all of Moulton; three daughters, Flossie Burns of Decatur aand Annie NeSmith and Ruth McCay, both of Moulton; two brothers, R V Nelson of Decatur and Price Nelson of Huntsville; five sisters, Beatrice Gibson of Cullman, Callie Brady of Moulton, Dora Lee Ryan of Decatur, Frances Fry of California and Annie Lottie Hopper of Tennessee; 25 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Joseph Nelson, Scott Nelson, Talamage NeSmith, James Nelson, Ralph Burns and Timothy Nelson.
