Susan B. Brooks was the daughter of James Brooks and Malinda Ann Robinson. Malinda Ann Robinson was also the aunt of Annie Sallie Robinson Simril, Susan's sister in law. Cousins Annie Sallie Robinson & Susan B. Brooks were married to the two Simril brothers, Robert Eaton Simeil & Arthur Francis Simril. Susan was the granddaughter of of James Brooks and Sarah 'Sallie' Traylor.
