Mrs. Annis Turley, 75, died at a Lincoln hospital early this morning after a lingering illness. Mrs. Turley was born March 14, 1874, at Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Pickrel. She came to York county with her parents at the age of 14 and made her home in York county the rest of her life.
To the union of her first marriage on April 8, 1888 with Elijah Allen was born one son, Bert, and a daughter who died in infancy.
She was later married to William Turley who survives. She is also survived by her son, Bert Allen of Lincoln; and two brothers, Claude Pickrel of York, and Clifford Pickrel of Hastings. Three brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Turley was an active member of the Christian church, the Eastern Star, and the Royal Neighbors.
