Minnie Hoopes Darlington

In the 72d year of her age, Minnie Hoopes, wife of Charles Ross Darlington, passed away last evening at her home, No 029 Seminole avenue, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, where she had been ill for some time from a heart condition.

The family moved to Seminole avenue in 1932 from West Chester, having sold their home here at the corner of High and Union streets to Casper P. Hicks that he might establish there the Hicks Funeral Home. It was her request that her body might be brought back to the old residence and funeral services held there, with interment in Goshen Friends' Burial Grounds beside the graves of her parents, Elwood and Minerva Barnard Hoopes, formerly of Tanguy.

Mrs. Darlington is well remembered here, having ben a student at what is now State Teachers College.

She is survived by her husband and by one daughter, Viola, wife of John W. Tyler, of Glenside.

DARLINGTON- In Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, on March 24th, Minnie Hoopes, wife of Charles Ross Darlington, in the 72nd year of her age.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without further notice from Hicks Funeral Home, 229 S. High Street, West Chester, on Friday, March 26, at 2 p.m. Interment in Goshen Friends' Burial Grounds.
