Bobbie Lou Kennedy, 88 of Magee, MS, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Burial will be in Kennedy Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, MS is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kennedy was born May 5, 1923 to John and Pernicia Lyons. She was a member of Kennedy Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart. She will greatly be missed.

Mamaw is survived by her Children, Paul (Sandra) Kennedy and Bobby Stanley Kennedy, both of magee, Billy (Shirley) Kennedy, Pearl; grandchildren, Sophia (Darrell) Thurman, Byram, Tracy (Warren) Bearry, Pearl, Scott (Sarah) Kennedy, Magee, Mandy Kennedy, Brandon, Brad Kennedy, Wichita, KS; great-grandchildren, Jordan Thurman, Evan Dillon, Colby Bearry, Katie Beth Kennedy,A J Bearry, Hughes Kennedy; sister, Grace Reeder, Jackson; daughter-in-law, Patsy Kennedy, Brandon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Lyons and Pernicia Hughes Lyons; husband, Oid Kennedy and grandson, Leslie Kennedy
