Julia Edith Harrington was the daughter of John Tyler Harrington and Hannah Amanda Ellsworth Harrington. She was the granddaughter of James Harrington and Mary Haws.

Her first husband was Charles Heisler. He was born in January of 1866, in Pennsylvania. Charles was the son of Edward Heisler and Susanah Hammond. Julia and Charles were married on 9 July 1898 at Big Rapids, Michigan. John E. Harrington and May Harrington of Byron, Michigan were witnesses. Both Charles and Julia indicated they had not been previously married. Charles indicated that he was a farmer and Edith a domestic. Charles resided at Lake City, Michigan and was born in Pennsylvania. Julia resided at Colfax Township, Michigan.

In 1900, both Julia and Charles were employed as cooks and living in Utsalady, Island County, Washington.

The 1920 census for Juneau, Alaska, listed a Charles Hiesler, born in Pennsylvania and an Ethele Hiesler born in Michigan. Both are aged 53 years. The actual census record is difficult to read.

Julia then married William Shaw Lamb on 22 May 1936 in St. Johns, Clinton County, Michigan. According to their marriage certificate William was 67 years old and had been married previously 2 times. Julia was 66 years old and had been previously married 3 times. Julia indicated that her residence was Elsie, Michigan and William was residing at Owosso, Michigan. Her marriage certificate indicates that she is Mrs. Edith Heisler, daughter of John Harrington and Fannie Ellsworth.

In 1941 Edith and William were living at 415 Huggins, Owosso, Michigan.
