George Harris Harrington was the son of John Tyler Harrington and Hannah Amanda Ellsworth and the grandson of James Harrington and Mary Haws.

He married Anna Farley, at Florence, Florence County, Wisconsin, 17 April 1899. She was born 6 November 1874, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and died 12 October 1932 in Seattle. She was the daughter of James Farley and Jane Webb Farley.

In 1910 Hal and Anna were living close to Hal's father, John Harrington in Coupeville. In 1920 Hal and Anna were living in Seattle.

In 1930 Hal and Anna were living near Hal's brother Pearl at Prairie, Island County, Washington. Hal sold real estate. In 1940, Hal was widowed and living at Prairie.
