Della B. (Radle) Bushong, 85, of 6476 25½-Mile Road, Homer MI died in Central Michigan Community Health Center in Mt. Pleasant MI. She was visiting relatives in Mt. Pleasant when she was stricken.

She was born in Harbor Springs MI and resided in the Marshall area from 1922 to 1979, when she moved to the Homer address.

She was an active midwife in the area for many years.

She was a member of the Homer Senior Citizens, Marshall Navy Mothers and the Gold Star Mothers, and attended the Cook's Prairie Baptist Church.

She was well known in the area for her skill as a quilt maker.

Her husband, Kearney H. Bushong, died in 1968; a son, Kearney D. Bushong, was killed in military action during World War II, and a daughter, Marjorie, died in infancy.

She is survived by sons, Clarence Bushong, Otto Bushong and Craig Bushong; daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Beatrice) O'Dell, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Tobias, and Mrs. Lawrence Myona) Lapland; 29 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Radle of Cheboygan MI. Burial Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, Michigan.
