The Will mentioned wife Regina, sons: Peter, Conrad, Henry, John, William (and William's children Samuel, Mary and Susan), Jacob, Casper, Philip and Daniel (some think this could be David); daughters: Mary wife of Christopher Brown, Catherine wife of Jonathan Leady. Lebanon was one of the earliest townships in Lancaster County and in May of 1739 was divided and it's northern part called Bethel Township. In 1752 part of Berks County was formed from the northern section of Bethel Township and later Dauphin County was formed from a northern section of Bethel Township. Eventually Lebanon County was formed from the remainder of Lebanon Township.

NOTE: Cumberland County was created January 27, 1750 from parts of Lancaster County and named for Cumberland County in England. Carlisle, the county seat since 1752, was incorporated as a borough on April 13, 1782. It was named for the county town of the English county. Shippensburg was the county seat from 1750 to 1752.
