OREANA - Bernard L. "Bud" Albert, 65, of Oreana died 8:42 a.m., Tuesday (Jan 18, 1994) in St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Albert was born Nov 2, 1928, in Decatur, the son of Earl and Thelma Barnett Albert. Mr. Albert had worked as an assistant mill operator for Growmark. He was a member of American Legion Post 105. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean conflict. He married Sandra Wombacher in 1956 (Sept 2). Surviving are his wife; son, Bernard L. Jr. of Decatur; daughters, Nancy of Oreana; Mrs. Duane (Darla) Wood of Sturgeon, Mo.; mother, Thelma of Cerro Gordo; brothers, Dale of Oakley; Adrian "Jake" of Oakley; Corwin (Taub) of Macon; George and Carrol, both of Cerro Gordo; sisters, Mrs. Bob (Gloria) Ruch of Cerro Gordo; Mrs. Harold (Eleanor) Nickey of LaPlace; Mrs. Jerry (Betty) Turner of Topeka, Kan.; Mrs. Richard "Dick" (Beverly) Seitz and Sandy Brandenburg, both of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Dana Wood, Dustin Wood, Christina Wood, Ashton Wood and Joey Albert. He was preceded in death by his father.
