ALTONAH – Funeral services for John c. Jones, 77, who died Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Clarence Jones, following a two-week illness, will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Altonah LDS ward chapel. Glen Mohlman, ward bishop, will officiate. Additional services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Heber First ward chapel by Heber M. Rasband, bishop.

Mr. Jones was born December 20, 1865, at Heber to Elisha and Sarah Ann Cummings Jones. He lived at Park City and Heber until 1920, when he moved to Altonah. He married Minnie Davis in 1924.

Surviving are two sons, Clarence Jones of Altonah and Douglas Jones of Park City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Mahoney, Mrs. Susan Mitchell, Mrs. Louise Morris and Mrs. Eliza Moulton, all of Heber, and three brothers, Simeon and Joseph Jones of Price and Edward Jones of Manti.
