James H. Abbott Taken By Death
James H. Abbott, 88, 14th and Highland, died at the Clarkston Clinic and hospital yesterday morning at 10:30. He had been ill for the last year.
Abbott was born on Dec. 17, 1859, in Wayne County, KY., to Jonathan W. Abbott and Rebecca Abbott.
Moving west in 1890, he farmed first in the Spokane area. In 1919 he moved to Clarkston and engaged in fruit growing.
Survivors are a son, J. V. Abbott, Clarkston; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Foss, Port Orchard, Wash.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
