George W. Adams, 78, died at his home in Mount Vernon at 3:30 o'clock of a heart aliment. He was a native of Montgomery County and has suffered failing health for some year. Surviving him are 5 daughters, Mrs. Lois Holder, Macon, Mrs. Sophia Duncan and Mrs. Talmadge Sanford, Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Sallie Ramsey and Miss Bessie Adams, Los Angeles, California: 6 sons, Andrew, Glenwood, George, Harvey and Homer, Mt. Vernon; Hubert, Macon. He is also survived by one brother, Nathan of Stuckey; four sisters, Mrs. Annie O'Conner, Mrs. Idella Cooper and Mrs. Julia Smallpiece, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Alice Smith, Savannah. Funeral Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. Hugh Hulett and burial in the O'Conner cemetery at Bear Creek with Sammons in charge.
