Dorothea L. Delp, 85, of Natrona Heights, died Monday, March 24, 2008, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights.
Mrs. Delp was born Friday, Nov. 3, 1922, in Harrison Township, a daughter of the late Harry and Ella Carney Ross.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Natrona Heights. She was a 50-year member of the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed traveling in their mobile home and sewing, and she especially enjoyed being around her family.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth T. Delp, of Maryland, Nancy L. (Harry) Krug, of Allegheny Township, William A. (Sharon) Delp, of Murrysville, and Robert K. Delp, of Natrona Heights; four sisters, Mardelle Humes, Val Jean Campbell and Shirley McBee, all of Sarver, and Twila Demeo, of St. Mary's, Ga.; a brother, Richard "Punxy" Ross, of Sarver; six grandchildren, Lorrie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Gretchen, Cassandra and Hannah; and also eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth T. Delp, who died Dec. 14, 2006; and seven brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, 724-224-7730, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with her pastor, the Rev. Glenn Kohlhepp, officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
