Mr. Allen was a mechanical maintence [maintenance] worker for the Certain-teed Corp. for 33 years.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Allen of the home; two daughters, Deanne Entingh, Ohio, and Lori Allen of the home; seven brothers, Oren Allen of Osawatomie, KS, Bill Allen, Parsons, KS, Dale Allen, Alexandria, VA, Wayne Allen, Kansas City KS, Wilford Allen, Texas City, TX, Charles Allen, Overland Park, KS, and Ronald Allen, Independence; two sisters, Alma Karhoff, Labette, KS, and Thelma Lucas, Kansas City KS; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Simmons Chapel; burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Simmons Chapel.
