Mrs. Alma Berg, 824 West Seventh street, wife of Ludwig Berg, deputy county auditor, and well known Davenport club woman, died at 5 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's hospital. Death resulted from appendicitis with which she was stricken last Wednesday and underwent an operation. She was 55 years old.
Mrs. Berg was born in Davenport, Feb. 15, 1875, the daughter of Catherine and the late Ludwig Struck. She received her education here and was a life resident. On April 8, 1896, she was married to Ludwig Berg at Davenport.
For many years Mrs. Berg had been prominently identified with various women's clubs in the city. She was active in the Ned Lee Mission society, a member of the board of directors of the Visiting Nurse association and was also a member of the Davenport Women's club and the Davenport Zither club.
She possessed numerous friends who will sincerely mourn her passing at such a comparatively early age. Possessing a cheerful, pleasant and amiable personality, Mrs. Berg contributed freely of her time toward the helping of unfortunate. In this manner her many acts of brought her lasting friendships.
Surviving besides the widower are four daughters, Mrs. Raymond Koch of Rushville, Ill., Mrs. John H. Mohr, Mrs. A. C. Timpe, Ms. Ernest F. Vogel, all of Davenport; one son, Bernhard Berg of Akron, O., her aged mother, Mrs. Catherine Struck of Davenport; four sisters, Mrs. Robert Pringle, Mrs. E. E. Meadley, Mrs. William Paarmann and Mrs. Theodore Jansen, all of Davenport; four brothers, Hugo Struck of California, Harry, Ernest and George, all of Davenport, and seven grandchildren. One daughter, Thekla Berg, preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1918.
The body was removed to the Runge mortuary and will be taken to the home Monday morning where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday. Incineration will follow at the Davenport crematorium.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Berg were held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, at the family home, 824 West Seventh street. The Rev. Julius Krolfifer officiated. Incineration followed at the Davenport crematorium.
The Paarmann trio played "Andante Pathetic" by Tangey and "Andante Cantabile" by Briel. At the crematorium Mrs. (should be Miss) Fay Paarmann played "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Rock of Ages."
Pallbearers were William Reuter, Albert Fahrner, Reinhardt Wagner, Adolph Petersen, F. P. Jacobi and August Becker.
