Mrs. Paarmann, Wife of School Musician, Dies, Davenport Democrat and Leader, Tuesday, November 16, 1937

Mrs. Hulda Paarmann, 58, wife of William A. Paarmann, instructor of music in the Davenport public schools, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home, 1220 Warren street, following a stroke.

She was born in Davenport Nov. 15, 1878 and was educated in the local schools. She was married Sept. 18, 1901 to William Arthur Paarmann.

Mrs. Paarmann was active in musical circles and was a vocalist of note in the city. She was president of the Parents club of the band and orchestra in Davenport high school and past president of Taylor school Parent Teachers association. She was a member of the Divine Science church.

Surviving besides her husband are five daughters, Ruth and Harriette at home, Mrs. Harvey Schlueter, Mrs. Mildred Jugenheimer and Mrs. Charles Lamb, all of Davenport; four sons, Walter, William, Jr., Carl and Ralph, all of Davenport and five grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Runge mortuary where arrangements for funeral services will be made.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda Paarmann, 1220 Warren street, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. from the Runge chapel. Burial will be Memorial Park cemetery.

The Mothersingers of which she was a member will attend the services in a group.
