Jacob Anthony served in the American Revolution as a private under Capt. Wiltse, Col. Yates Regiment. He was the son of Bartholomew Anthony and Catharina Peck and the husband of Eve Piser. On 21 Mar 1786 in Pittsdown, Rensselaer Co., NY, he married Eve Piser. The following year they moved to Schoharie County, NY. He built the first saw mill in the town of Sharon, Schoharie County, New York. He was a trustee of the local Reformed Church.
