Mr. and Mrs. Grant Handwork of St. Mary's, near Elverson, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Christmas eve. The event will be marked with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Handwork, who live a short distance away.

The couple was married in Elverson by the Rev. J. H. Seidle. The bride of 50 years is the former Miss Myrtle Miller.

After retiring from farming, Mr. Handwork worked for the State Highway Department, later with the Reading Railroad Co., and for some years was a custodian at the South Coventry Elementary School.
