VALE - Services for Marion D. Tucker, 78 of Vale, who died Thursday in an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Vale Lienkaemper Chapel. Interment will be in Valleyview Cemetery, Vale.
He was born Aug. 30, 1901, at Springwater, Ore. He married Marie Walsh on May 31, 1941, at Baker. He moved in 1942 from Portland to Vale where he farmed until retiring in 1974.
Surviving are his wife of Vale, 6 sons, Marion Tucker and Ronald Still, both of Portland, James G. Tucker of Salem, Guy C. Still of Estacada, Gary Tucker of Post Falls, Id., and Tom Tucker of Ontario; 4 daughters, Janice Zeller of Portland, Carol Humes of Mill City, Ore., Laura Braniff of Pilot Rock, Ore., and Linda Holton of Ontario; a brother, William of Estacada; 3 sisters, Pearl Rae and Dice Keller of Estacada, and Violet Heiple of John Day; 32 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by a daughter and 2 brothers.
