Charlotte Wheaton Hodge was born in Harrisons Purchase, New York, a daughter of William Wheaton and Orpha Brooks. She married John Hodge in New York and they were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. They moved to Michigan by 1850. After Charlotte's death, John moved to Marcellus, Cass,Michigan, where he lived with his nephew and niece, Cornelius and Sarah Tappan. John died in Marcellus on 18 June 1883. John and Charlotte were members of the RLDS Church.
