A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Luetta Hensley Whitaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Tate W. Haynes.
She was former owner and operator of B. Haynes Fashions Hendersonville Road for 25 years and was a buyer with Belk Department Store.
Mrs. Haynes was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.
Graveside services will be at Green Hills Cemetery.
