Newspaper Obituary, probably the Hillsboro, Texas news paper (the Hillsboro Mirror)of that period - December 1941

"Drew Behringer, Farmer of West, Killed in Mishap" - He Is Crushed Between Tractor and Plow as he Tries to Load Machinery on Truck at Farm
Drew Behringer, 57, was killed at his farm home two miles southeast of Waco Saturday while attempting to load a tractor and disc plow on his truck to move to Ellis county.
Behringer had backed his truck against an embrankment to facilitate loading the tractor and plow, which were at the edge of the embrankment.
Apparently the weight of the farm implements caused the embankment to cave and Behringer was caught between the tractor and plow as they fell. He died instantly.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary M. Behringer; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Greenwade of Iredell and Mrs. Alice Millsap of Denver, Colo.; four brothers, E. G. Behringer of Denton, Clifford Behringer of Teague, W. E. Behringer of Whitney and Frank Behringer of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at his residence with Rev. L. R. Byrd officiating, burial in Meridian cemetery.
Pallbearers will be E. C. Goodman, Elbert Crabb, Allan Busby, H. C. Edards, J. L. Dunlap and Frank Propp."
