"MRS. LILLIE GREENWADE Meridian - Mrs. Lillie Greenwade, 92 of
Meridian died Thursday evening at a Clifton hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Meridian First Baptist
Church, the Rev. Richard Creech and Clayton Young officiating. Burial
will be at Meridian Cemetery.
Mrs. Greenwade was born June 16, 1896, in Bell County. She moved
to Bosque County when she was 4 years old and settled in the Cayote
area. She was married to Pike Greenwade in 1915, in Cayote. She lived
in Cayote and Iredell before moving to Meridian in the 1940s. She
worked for many years in the Iredell School cafeteria, and later as
supervisor of the Meridian school cafeteria. She was a member of
Meridian First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Garwood and Lila
Dittfurth, both of Fort Worth; two sons, Carthol Greenwade and Ernest
Greenwade, both of Meridian; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Lawson Funeral Home of Meridian is in charge of arrangements."
