William Heucle Adair was the son of Richard Alexander & Martha Ann Ross Adair. He married Anna L Spicer 14 Mar 1905. Their children were; Richard Walter, Margurite A, Joseph F, Franklin J, Edith, Catherine, Voiletta L, Lois E, Wanita and William H Adair.

Loraine, Ill., Feb. 24.--William H. Adair, 80, retired farmer, died last night at 6 in the Jacksonville hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in Loraine Christian Church with the Rev. Meredith Thomas of Quincy officiating. Burial will be in the New Loraine Cemetery.
Mr. Adair was born here Sept. 19, 1878, a son of Richard and Martha Rose Adair. He attended the Christian church and received his education in schools here. He spent about 10 years in Kewanee. Mr. Adair was twice married. His first wife, the former Anna Spicer, died.
He is survived by his widow, Florence; six daughters, Mrs. Margaret Melvin of Boulder, Col., Mrs. Edith Turner of Quincy, Mrs. Lois Dowdy of Los Angeles, Mrs. Kathryn Cramer, Mrs. Juanita Tovis and Mrs. Violetta Byerly, all of Macomb; two sons, Frank of Quincy and William H., Jr., of Peoria; a brother, J. Frank of Hot Springs, Ark.; and 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons, Richard W. and Lewis, preceded him in death.
