Funeral for James A Shiflett, 62, of 724 47th Place South, who died Friday of a heart attack, will be at 2 pm today at Southside Chapel with burial in Forest Crest Cemetery. He was a member of Avondale Presbyterian Church and an employee of Seaboard Coastline for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Edith Shiflett; a son, James A Shiflett Jr, Dallas; three daughters, Mrs Cary McGowen, Conyers, Ga and Miss Cathy Shiflett and Miss Cindy Shiflett, both of Birmingham; his mother, Mrs W O Shiflett, Cedartown, Ga, and three brothers, Ray Shiflett, Cedartown, Hugh Shiflett, Chardon, Ohio and Lt Col Richard Shiflett, Ireland.
