Her father was killed July 03, 1863 fighting with the Confederacy in Pickets Charge on Cemetery Ridge at The Battle of Gettsyburg in the War of Northern Aggression.
His burial place which is with his brothers friends and neighbors remains unmarked and unknown.


Her mother Nancy G. Lockman-Thompson Married Hezekiah C. Barkley 28 May 1874
They both are also buried at Bethel UMC Cemetery Denver, Lincoln County, NC.
