Reta was born to Jesse W. and Hazel (Grigsby) Collins. She married Robert L. Rudd on Oct. 1, 1949, at the First Baptist Church in Canton. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1979.
Surviving are two children, Leslie Rudd and Mike (Kathy) Rudd; four grandsons, Jeremy Markley, David Markley, Christopher (Renae) Rudd and Jonathan Rudd; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Eileen Tippey.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; one brother, Paul; and one sister, Lela Ray.
She was a registered nurse, serving her career at Graham Hospital and held an alumni membership to the Graham Hospital School of Nursing.
