MARSHALL - Services for Esther Mae Ratley Briggs, 76, of Longview, formerly of Marshall, will be 10 a.m. today, December 29, 2007, at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home, with the Revs. Danny Sammons and Buddy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Springs Cemetery in Panola County. Mrs. Briggs died December 25, 2007, at a Longview hospital.

Born February 25, 1931, in Marshall, she was a homemaker and a member of Marshall Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Riddle, Vicky Laird and Suzanne Bridges; and sisters, Daisy Langford, Betty Lou Sammons and Marie "Doodle" Hopson.
