She married Perry G. Story on Jan. 1, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1978. Also, her one and only son preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2003, in Covington; her three sisters, Iva, Mildred and Opal, also preceded her, along with her brother, Ralph. One sister, Betty Lou Willer, also survived her, along with Hazel and Bob Linesay of Arizona. She, as said by Hazel, was more like a sister to her. She is also survived by two granddaughters, one grandson and six great-grandchildren.
Eva was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington.
Eva's own words were: "The highest price that I could give, and all of my heart was heavy. The tears flowed down. I know you could say you could hear my soft, still voice saying, "Don't cry for me."
