Roy Ferguson was born June 20, 1895. He leaves his wife, Hala, three sons; Euil of Wayne City, Elmer of the army and Lawrence at home; and a daughter, Mrs. Opal Bailey of Wayne City, his stepmother, Mary Ferguson, two brothers, Gilbert and Oliver of Wayne City and eight sisters: Mrs. Nettie Clark of Greeley, Colorado, Edith Henson of Orchardville, Anna Matthews, Miss Wilma, Mrs. Eva Bortorff, Miss Betty and Miss Mary Lou, all of Wayne City, and Alberta Vest of Sims. Burial in Bailey cemetery.

Roy Ferguson passed away at his home about 5 p.m. Wednesday night after several months of illness with cancer. Funeral services were held at the Bailey Church Saturday morning, November 24, at eleven a.m. conducted by Rev. Polk Richardson assisted by Rev. Dalbert Goff. Burial in the Bailey cemetery.
