He married Phyllis E. Macak on March 3, 1946, in Delphi, Indiana. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Darryl R. Wise (wife: Cindy), and Terry L. Wise (wife: Anita, a daughter, Debra K. Blackburn (husband: Jay), seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a sister.
Bob and his wife farmed most all of their lives, and they were both world wide travelers. He drove a school bus for the Twin Lakes School Corporation for over 20 years and was a member of the Hickory Grove Church.
Bob was an accomplished woodworker. He made numerous items such as cradles, rocking horses and even quilt racks for all of his family and friends. Bob had done much of the inside carpentry work on their new home in Lafayette.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
