Clifford Paul Carmichael - 1931-2006
Clifford Paul Carmichael, 75, of Burlington Junction, died Sunday, October 1, 2006. at Lexington Care Center. Paul was retired from the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He formerly had lived in Pickering and Marycille before moving to Burlington Junction in 1990.
He was born March 30, 1931, in rural Maryville, the son of Charles Thomas and Iva H. McKee Carmichael. He married Lois Irene Phelps on April 7, 1952 in Denver.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers, Earl, Stanley and Charles Carmichael; his parents; and three sons, Kenneth, and two stillborn infants, Larry and Gary Carmichael.
His survivors include three daughters, Laurie Beth Fox, Burlington Junction, Katherine Louise Smithson, Higginsville, and Paula Carmichael, Maryville; two sisters, Helen Locke, Maryville, and Carroll Farrens, Concordia; one brother, Edward Carmichael, Maryville; and four grandchildren.
He has been cremated. Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. Inurnment will be in White Oak Cemetery, Pickering. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
