Jesse E. Carmichael

PICKERING, Mo. - Jesse Earl Carmichael, 79, Pickering, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at a Maryville, Mo., hospital.
Mr. Carmichael was born May 25, 1922, in Maryville and lived most of his life in Pickering. He also lived in Kansas City from 1948 to 1962 before moving back to Pickering.
He had been employed with the Kansas City, Mo., police department as a narcotics and vice officer. He retired from Sheffield Steel Co. in Kansas City as a plant supervisor.
Mr. Carmichael served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church.
On Jan. 11, 1947, he married Jenelda M. Antle in Maryville. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. and Iva H.; and a brother, Stanley.
Additional survivors: three sons, Michael, state of California, Stuart, Pickering, and Eric, Maryville; a daughter, Debbie Carmichael,: Carrollton, Texas; three brothers, Edwin, Maryville, and Charles, Independence, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Locke, Pickering, and Carol Farrens, Concordia, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home in Maryville. Burial: King City (Mo.) Cemetery. The body has been cremated. Military services at the grave will be under the auspices of the Missouri Military Honors Program. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the World War II National Memorial.
