George M. Ross died Monday morning at 8:30 at the home of his father, Thos. Ross. He returned Sunday evening from St. Joseph, Mo., very sick and his death ensued during a fit of epilepsy to which he was subject.
Deceased was born November 29, 1862, in Mt. Ayr. When he was five years of age, he fell the victim of an accident which broke his back and left him a cripple for life. Although thus handicapped he possessed a mind of more than ordinary intelligence and could have achieved success had he improved all opportunities. He was devoted to his father, to whom his death comes with shocking force.
The funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock by Rev. H. P. Dudley. The interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
