Obituary

S. J. Curtis, aged 70 years, a resident of this city for the past 30 years, died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Clark, in Raymond. The funeral was held from the Sticklin Parlors this afternoon, interment being in the Mt. View Burial Park.

Mr. Curtis was born in Ohio. Five children survive him. They are Earl P. and Virgil Curtis, Mrs. Henry Loomis and Mrs. William Waunch, all of this city; and Mrs. John Clark of Raymond.

For his birth, it is most likely he was born in Roxbury Township, Washington County (rather than Morgan County), Ohio, where the family had lived for about 10 years prior to his birth. Roxbury in Washington County doesn't show up in Find A Grave's database, so I used Washington County, Ohio.

His death certificate shows he died in Raymond, Pacific County, Washington. You can view it on FamilySearch: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L9J3-Z3ZQ?i=752
