Rev. Richard Carpenter was the son of Rev. Thomas Carpenter of Cornwall.
He was Christened on 16 Feb 1575[/1576] in Phillack, Cornwall, England and he died on 18 Dec 1627 in Loxhore, Devon, England.
In honor of his service, he was buried in the Chancel of the Church of St Michael and All Angels in Loxhore, Devon, England on 20 Dec 1627.
He married Susanna Trivilian on 1 Sept 1606 in Nettlecombe, Somerset, England. They had the following confirmed children: Susanna, John, Mary, Richard, Ann, Elizabeth, Edward, Sarah and Thomas.
Susanna, his wife, was buried in the Church burial yard, but the date is not known.

Gravesite Details

The Church was rebuilt in 1844 and there is no marker within or without showing where Richard Carpenter had been buried. It is likely his remains along with others within the Church were removed to the cemetery before it was re-layered.
