Constance Viola Higbee Brown Carter passed away from pulmonary fibrosis at age 91 June 21, 2007 in Salt Lake City, UT. Constance was born March 16, 1916 to Benjimin F. Higbee and Ethel Neilson. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Willis F. Brown, divorced. Married Archie Carter December 27, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. For her children, grandchildren family and friends she was a true example of generosity, kindness and devotion. To everyone around her, we thought of her as "The Angel Among Us." She was a member of the LOSIRIS Court #47 and she volunteered for many years at the Shriner's Hospital for Children. She also helped feed the homeless on Sunday morning, and assisted and helped her family members in various ways. She is an inspiration to all who knew her and will be deeply missed and always loved. Mom was affectionately known as the Roadrunner and drove a PT cruiser with Road Runner #1 on the license plate. She was without a doubt the world's greatest recycler. She even washed and sanitized plastic utensils from Masonic functions to be used to help feed the homeless on Sunday mornings. Constance was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Carter; her sons, Glendon, and wife, Nelda Carter; and Gordon Brown; sisters, Evelyn Dayton Agutter, Ethell Fratello, Holline Gerber; and brothers, Benjamin Higbee and Hollister Higbee. She is survived by her sister, Julia Askins; her son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Sue Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Janae and Bill Broyles; and daughter-in-law, Sherma Brown; as well as 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caretakers at The Residence at Care Source for their help and consideration at the end of her life. The family will receive friends Monday, June 25, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102. The family will also receive friends an hour prior to the funeral service. Which will also be held at Evans and Early Mortuary June 26, 2007 at 12 noon. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, in Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the Shiners Hospital Transportation Fund Fairfax Road at Virginia St. SLC, Ut 84103.
