Griffithsville- Lissie Adkins, 87, of Griffithsville died April 2, 1999, at home. He was a miner and timberman. Surviving; Wife, Lola Cooper Adkins, sons, Jackie of Hamlin, Jimmy of Ona, Eugene of Alkol, daughters, Elizabeth Adkins, Dottie Adkins and Barbara Evans O'Conner, all of Griffithsville, Linda Layman of Fairmont, stepsons, Arbie Cooper of Sias, Chester Cooper of Cleveland, stepdaughter, Wanda Cooper of West Hamlin, brothers, Fred Adkins of Spurlocksville, Hartley Adkins of Charleston, sister, Elva Adkins of Hamlin, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with the Rev. Russell Adkns officiating. Burial will be Martha Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 o 8 pm today at the funeral home
