More recently they gave an initial gift of $20,000 to the Education Fund of the church, a program in which Mr. Barnes was intensely interested even as recently as two weeks before his death.

His funeral was Monday at the Lunecschloss – Hansen chapel with pastor, the Rev. Wesley Hunter, officiating. Burial was in the Richland Center cemetery.
