HUFFORD-- Anna Marie Hufford, 79. 215 S. 10th street, Rochelle, died Wednesday, Dec. 7th 1988 in Rochelle Community Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1908 in Dixon daughter of Jacob F. and Anna Behrends Heckman. Married Ira Hufford in Lee County, Nov. 28, 1929.

She did baby sitting more than 30 years and baked wedding cakes. Member St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rochelle. She was an avid bowler 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, Ira, Rochelle; son Charles "Smokey" Rochelle; two daughters, Mary Ann (Wayne) Baker, Rochelle; and Kay Lynn (Rev. Keith) Bender, Morgan, Minn.; two brothers, Herman Heckman, Croton, N.Y., and Henry Heckman, Polo; three sisters, Helen Rose, Croton, Margaret McCombs, Bishop, Calif., and Dorothy Russell, Dixon; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Fritz and Walter.

Services at 1 p.m. Sat., Dec. 10, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rochelle with the Rev. George Krouse, interim pastor, officiating.

Burial in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rochelle. Arrangements by Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 4th Ave. and 6th street, Rochelle. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials to the church of St. Paul Lutheran school.(The Rockford Register Star, Thurs., Dec. 8, 1988, pg.3)
