Services for Gilbert F. Casanova, 75, of 948 Euclid Ave., who died Saturday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Universalist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will greet friends after the service.

He was born in Hermon and lived there most of his life. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1934. Mr. Casanova was a self-employed accountant and a former accountant for Ernst and Whinney, from which he retired in 1974.

He was a member of First Universalist Church of Syracuse, and was its treasurer for 35 years.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1945. He was awarded a Bronze Star during that time.

Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Russ of Syracuse; one son, Roger Casanova of East Syracuse; one daughter, Carol A. Kealoha of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Frank E. Casanova of Cave Creek, Ariz.; five grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
