Graveside service for Marjorie J. Dana, 86, of Canton and formerly of Russell will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 1:00pm at the South Russell Cemetery with Rev. Bill Hart, officiating. Mrs. Dana passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus, Canton.

There will be no calling hours. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Russell United Methodist Church or the Russell Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Surviving Marjorie besides her husband Elmer is a daughter-in-law Dorothy Dana of Canton, sisters Joan Frenson of Wilmington, NC and Carol Hutchinson of Inverness, FL and several close friends.

She is predeceased by her sons Fred and Keith Dana.

Born November 29, 1923 in Westfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Frederick R. and Elsie (Herder) Duncan. She graduated from Plainfield High school in 1941. On January 26, 1946 she married Elmer Dana at the United Methodist Church of Russell, where she was a church officer for many years. She also taught Sunday school to pre-schoolers for 30+ years. Marge worked for St. Lawrence National Bank in Canton for several years prior to becoming disabled.
