Carroll Watkins Vaughn, 93, formerly of Endicott, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Naples, Fla. He was born August 1, 1910 in Morris, Pa., the son of Louis Carroll Vaughn and Alma Eidesburg Vaughn. He was predeceased by his wife, Myra Martin Vaughn. Carroll was a 1934 graduate of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa. He was the owner and manager of Vaughn's Clothing in the Union District of Endicott, and retired in 1970. He has been a resident of Naples, Fla., for the last 35 years. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Endicott for many years; a member of the Binghamton Country Club, Round Hill Lodge #533 F&AM; and numerous civic organizations in Endicott. He was a member and Trustee of the United Methodist Church, Naples, Fla. and a founding member of the Naples Country Club, Naples, Fla.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Kenneth Wood, Pastor of the Central United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 401 Hayes Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760, or www.alz.org.
