Wayne Howarth was born in Utah, a son of George Alvin Howarth and Faith Steed. He had siblings Lynn George and David Howarth.

Wayne married Ernestine "Tina" Brown from Tennessee. They had a child that died at 36, Cynthia Faye Howarth Sadoval, born Jun 11, 1953 in Oakland, Alameda, California, died May 9, 1990 in Santa Cruz County, California.

Wayne served in the Army during World War II from 1943-1946.

Wayne was construction manager and oversaw the construction activities at the Redwood Shores development in Redwood, California for many years.

He and Tina retired to Arizona.

He was survived by Tina.

Wayne's assistant at Redwood Shores was R. Keith Thomas. He married Kim in 1981 and got transferred to Highland Shoes just outside Dallas. There he worked for Dyke Day. He had health problems and died in March 2018 in Dallas.
