Alice Kay (Black) Smith was born on July 17, 1948 in Tennessee, the daughter of Dossie B Black (1910-1993) and his 1st wife Stella Ellie (Harvey) Black (1911-1982) of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee.
She was married about 1968 to Douglas Smith and was a member of Louise United Methodist Church. She also drove a school bus for 26 years for the Clarksville, Montgomery County, School System. She truly loved and cared for every child she transported, and after her health began to fail, she spent the remaining years of her life surrounded by her loving family at her home in Southside.
Alice Kay was 68 years old when she passed away on March 7, 2017.
Preceded in death by her her parents, her brother William "Douglas" Black (1937-2005) and by grandchildren Avery Smith and Everley Smith, she was survived by her husband; a married son; married daughter; sister; two granddaughters and four grandsons.
Celebration of Life Services were held at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and burial was in Louise United Methodist Church Cemetery.
