HEUVELTON - Funeral services for Mary L. Vassmer, 58, of McGowan Road, Ogdensburg, were held on Wednesday at the Heuvelton Presbyterian Church, with Lee Lewan-dowski officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in the spring.
Arrangements were with the Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Mrs. Vassmer died Feb. 17, 2007, at her home.
She is survived by a son, Nathan Vassmer, of Ogdensburg; a daughter, Emma Vassmer, of Ogdensburg; a sister, Eva and John Hurlbut of Utica; three brothers, Dr. Ronald and Judy Backus, of Wisconsin, William and Connie Backus of Heuvelton, and Thomas and Wendy Backus of Saugerties, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
