He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed by R.B. Potashnick during the construction of Interstate 55 and was later employed by various other construction firms in Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mae Wallace and Virginia Walker.
Survivors include three sons, Steve Buehler, Wilber Buehler and James Buehler of Michigan; one brother, Bill Wallace of Ferguson, MO; and three sisters, Marie Hume of Vacaville, CA; Mildred Hazel of Advance, MO; and Betty Kielhofner of Shorewood, IL.
Graveside services are Tuesday at the Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with Geneva Keith, associate pastor of the Vanduser Church of God, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow.
