Mertie Baldwin Henry died Sunday, 29 JUL 2001, at Baptist Hospital. Born 8 JUL 1918 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, Mrs. Henry was for decades a member of Central United Methodist Church and its Married Couples Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Thomas L. Henry and parents, William Hiram and Mary Elizabeth Day Baldwin of Knoxville.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Dr. John N Hooker, Jr; grandson, John Thomas Hooker; brother, Clifton Eugene Baldwin, who prays she will be ministered to in the life beyond as she cared for so many in this life.
Family and friends will meet at the West Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery @ 10:45 a.m. Wednesday [1 AUG 2001] for graveside serves at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bruce Spangler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church.
Family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday [31 JUL 2001] @ Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
